For example, a manufacturer or retail business using FormFast technology receives a large order; as the order is entered into their ERP system, FormFast can capture the order data and act upon that data. The FormFast system can integrate with other data sources in the organization to determine if there is enough stock on-hand to fulfill the order. If there is not enough stock on-hand, the system would act according to a set of business rules to notify Inventory, Purchasing, and/or Production departments with instructions, purchase orders, and other documents related to the new order. If the company did have the inventory to fulfill the order, FormFast would print bar coded pick orders, packing slips and shipping labels at the fulfillment warehouse, customer invoices and billing statements in the Accounts Receivable office, and other documents needed to fulfill the order and bill the customer. With fax and email features, the system could even notify a companies suppliers, shippers, and distributors as needed.
